Kippford View Touring & Camping Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12/05/2026. These terms apply to touring, camping and seasonal pitch bookings at Kippford View.

These terms and conditions apply to bookings of touring caravan, motorhome and tent pitches (including seasonal pitches, where available) at Kippford View Holiday Park. Self-catering and glamping bookings are covered under a separate set of terms at /kippford-view/terms-and-conditions/.

It is your responsibility to check the details on your booking confirmation are correct and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival. Advance bookings are advisable, especially for Easter, Bank Holidays and during the July/August high season.

1. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable booking deposit of £30 is payable by debit or credit card at time of booking. The balance is due 28 days before arrival. Last-minute bookings (within 28 days of arrival) are payable in full at time of booking. Reminders are sent out by email where we have an email address on file.
Nightly charges are based on 2 persons (over 5 years of age) with a touring caravan or motorhome and one vehicle. Additional charges apply for extra persons, additional cars, dogs and awnings. Please see our current charges online.

2. Cancellation & Refunds
We do not offer cancellation insurance and strongly advise you to take out appropriate insurance. All cancellations must be confirmed by email or letter.
If you cancel before your holiday starts you will receive a refund according to the following scale:

Cancellation 0 to 14 days before arrival and non-arrivals: no refund
Cancellation 15 to 28 days before arrival: 25% refund
Cancellation 29 to 56 days before arrival: 50% refund
Cancellation 57 days or more before arrival: full refund

The £30 deposit is non-refundable, as this covers admin and paperwork involved in processing the cancellation.

In extreme circumstances we may need to alter, amend or cancel your booking. We’ll contact you as soon as possible and you may be offered an alternative or full refund. We do not pay compensation for cancellations due to Force Majeure.
No refunds are offered for early departures from the park.

3. Arrival, Pitch Allocation & Departure
Pitches are available from 1pm on day of arrival. If your pitch is available, you can check in sooner. If it isn’t, you’re welcome to use park facilities while you wait. Please ensure you vacate the pitch by 11am on day of departure. You’re welcome to use park facilities for the rest of the day.

If you intend to arrive after 5pm on the arrival day, please telephone the park so we can make arrangements for late arrival.

The care of your pitch is your responsibility for the duration of your stay and it must be left clean and tidy.

4. Use of Pitches
If you book a particular pitch, this does not guarantee that you’ll be able to stay on the specific pitch, or (exceptionally) on the same pitch for the duration of your stay. If we need to move you to a different pitch during your booking which is at a lower rate than the rate at which you booked, we will refund you the difference.

There is no guarantee that pitch bookings can be extended beyond the dates originally booked. Please contact reception as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Some pitches on our park are all natural grass. They will wear due to use during the year and the weather. Your pitch will be usable but may not look exactly like the website pictures, which were taken at the beginning of the season.

We are a holiday park, so we don’t accept bookings for stays related to work, residential use, or as a base to travel to work.

5. Vehicles, Awnings & Units
Position your touring caravan or motorhome with the tow bar facing the road. If you’re putting up an awning, it must be on the right-hand side of the unit when facing the unit. The company doesn’t take responsibility for any damage to awnings caused by bad weather, it’s at your own risk.

Awnings are subject to an additional charge and are only permitted for short periods to protect the grass.

All vehicles on the park must abide by the park’s 10mph speed limit and be taxed, insured and have a valid MOT. Vehicles are brought onto the holiday park at your own risk and we are not responsible for any loss or damage, except where caused by our negligence.

Quad bikes, mini mopeds, scooters and any other motorised off-road toys or farming vehicles aren’t permitted on the park. Jet skis aren’t allowed on the park.

6. Occupancy & Group Bookings
The pitch charge is based on 2 persons over 5 years and one vehicle. Additional charges apply for extra persons, additional cars and dogs.

We don’t accept bookings from customers aged 17 or under. All bookings must include a person aged at least 18.

Group bookings are accepted as long as you check with us beforehand. When paying deposits, please provide the names of those you’re booking for. If you’d like to be pitched near friends or family, let us know at the time of booking and we’ll do our best.

7. Dogs & Pets on the Touring Field
Dogs are charged at a nightly rate. No puppies. Animals other than dogs require specific permission from the park.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the park and on nearby paths (including the woods)

Please clean up after your dog
Dogs found chasing farm animals will result in the dog and owners being asked to leave the park
If we feel a dog is causing a nuisance, you’ll be required to remove it

There’s a short wooded dog walking area on park for use during your stay

Assistance dogs are welcomed (with Identification Book or appropriate evidence from Assistance Dogs UK) and are exempt from charges. They must be kept on a lead and worn with a collar with identity tag. A responsible adult must clean up after the dog. Assistance dogs are allowed in all park facilities except the outdoor swimming pool.

8. Park Rules, Noise & Behaviour
This is a family park. Out of respect for fellow visitors, noise should be kept to a minimum from 10.30pm, with absolute quiet between midnight and 8am. This includes children and adults shouting, dogs barking, music and general chatter.
We reserve the right to terminate bookings where customers are noisy, offensive, disruptive or commit a serious breach of these terms or park rules. Where the breach is capable of remedy, we’ll give written notice and a reasonable period to remedy. Depending on the nature of the breach, this period may be short.

We don’t allow the use or storage of firearms, weapons or illegal substances on park.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to any facility, or refuse service or accommodation to any person who appears physically or mentally impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs (including appearing hungover or smelling of drugs or alcohol), where they’re considered a risk to themselves, visitors, guests, staff or property.

All park facilities are strictly non-smoking. Anyone found to be smoking will be asked to leave.

The park takes its responsibility to prevent underage consumption of alcohol seriously. Anyone who appears under 25 will be asked for photographic ID. We accept: passport, photo driving licence or valid identification card.

9. Use of Park Facilities
Outdoor swimming pool: open mid-May to mid-September, weather dependent. For park customers only. Children under 15 must be supervised by a parent or guardian (minimum age 16) who is in the pool or at the poolside.

Pool rules:

No diving, jumping or running at the poolside
No glass, food, drinks, drugs or smoking in the pool, shower or changing areas
Remove jewellery before entering
No large inflatables or ball games during busy periods
Don’t enter the pool immediately after eating
Customers who have been drinking alcohol won’t be admitted
For babies and small children not toilet trained, swim nappies (preferred) are available at pool reception

Laundry: facilities include sink, iron and ironing board.

Washing machine and tumble dryer are token-operated; tokens are available from the shop. Washing lines aren’t permitted at pitches.

Fires and BBQs: no open fires or fire pits on the park. Raised purpose-built BBQs are allowed. Small disposable BBQs must be raised off the ground. No BBQs inside tents. Disposable BBQs may only be placed in the bins provided, and only once cold.

Drones: in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority’s Drone Code, the use of drones on the holiday park is strictly prohibited.

10. Seasonal Pitches, Specific Terms

Where seasonal pitches are available, additional terms may apply regarding season length, payment schedule, pitch occupancy when the holder is not on site, and end-of-season removal of caravans and equipment. Please request the seasonal pitch terms separately when enquiring.

11. Liability
We cannot accept responsibility for temporary non-function of facilities, withdrawal of an activity, or for theft, damage or injury caused during your stay. All persons, cars and vehicles of all descriptions, and their contents, enter the grounds at the owner’s risk. Wardens reserve the right to refuse entry or request customers to leave. Adverse weather conditions may result in the cancellation of some activities at certain times of year.

You are responsible for your personal possessions on park and we are not responsible for any loss or damage. If you leave any personal possessions behind, we’ll try to return them, subject to a minimum fee of £10 plus packaging and postage.

Accessibility: Guests with limited mobility are welcome at all our parks. However, certain pitches and locations may not be suitable. If you or someone in your party has limited mobility, please tell us before booking so we can try to ensure the pitch is suitable. If you don’t tell us, we cannot be responsible if it isn’t suitable.

12. Force Majeure
Circumstances amounting to force majeure include any event we could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. These include destruction or damage (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond our control. Also included: riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.

15. Contact & Complaints

We like all our customers to have an enjoyable holiday with us, but sometimes things may go wrong. If this happens, please notify reception staff immediately so we can help. It’s more difficult to investigate a complaint if we only hear about it after you have left.

If you decide to stay and don’t give us the opportunity to put things right at the time, you won’t be entitled to a refund.
Brochure and website accuracy: we’ve taken every care to make sure details on this website and in our brochures are correct at time of going to print. However, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or the results of these. We are not responsible for unforeseen events or matters over which we have no control.

VAT: all tariffs include VAT at the current rate. Any change in the rate will be implemented.
